It is with great sadness that I post this today. "Joyce Annelle Langelier of Kennett Square PA, passed away on Wednesday, December 19, 2018 at the age of eighty-three from complications related to COPD/emphysema. She was preceded in death by her husband Albert in 2016.
Joyce was born to Peter B. and Frances S. Pranulis of Peabody MA in 1935. Joyce attended the Yale School of Drama with a concentration in Costume Design from which she graduated a Master of Fine Arts. Joyce met her husband, Albert (“John”) Langelier while both were working as radio personalities at a Manhattan radio station. Joyce’s career as an artist included magazine and book illustration, commercial art, and sculpture. An avid gardener, Joyce frequently won blue ribbons and Best of Show awards for her exhibitions at the Philadelphia Flower Show and was a frequently requested to speak at garden clubs about her ideas on gardening, design and presentation. Joyce and her husband founded an art studio which has been in business for forty-five years and will continue to be run by her son Matthew."
She is survived by two sons, Jordan and Matthew, and two grandchildren, Sarah and Christine."
